Chapin Furniture offers a wide range of shipping options. These are outlined below:

WHITE GLOVE FURNITURE DELIVERY: Larger furniture items require specialized delivery to your residence or business. Chapin Furniture’s dedicated furniture delivery specialists deliver your household items with extra care. White-Glove Delivery includes delivery into your home, unpackaging of your home furnishings, and up to 15 minutes of assembly. Rates vary based on weight and location of delivery. You can calculate your shipping cost with our webstore shipping calculator provided in your shopping cart.

Please allow 4-8 weeks for delivery on White-Glove Delivery items (if the item is in stock with the manufacturer). Our White-Glove Delivery team will contact you in advance to schedule a time for your delivery. We currently offer White-Glove shipments to the Continental United States only.

Chapin Furniture always insures the safe delivery of your purchase, but it is very important that all items are inspected thoroughly for damage while the delivery personnel are still on site. Have the driver sign the delivery slip acknowledging damage for any item damaged. Keep a copy for your records and contact Chapin Furniture within 5 days of delivery to begin the claim process. Failure to follow these procedures voids Chapin Furniture's insurance and could result in a claim denial.

Please Note: Due to liability issues and time restrictions, we are unable to assemble bunk beds, loft beds and Ready-to-Assemble Furniture during White-Glove Deliveries outside of the South Carolina. However, we will still inspect and place the items in the room of your choice while delivering.

LOCAL DIRECT DELIVERY (South Carolina only): Chapin Furniture maintains a fleet of delivery trucks operated by our on-site, trained delivery team. Our crew is safe and courteous, and has delivered thousands of items to satisfied customers. Our in-home delivery and setup charges start at $75 per trip, and we offer this service anywhere in our home state of South Carolina.

PICK-UP AT STORE: Do you live nearby? Come with your own vehicle and pick up your purchases at our main location in Chapin, South Carolina. This option costs you nothing, and our friendly staff is always available to help you load. It is very important that you inspect all your furniture (open the boxes and inspect) prior to loading it in your vehicle.  When a large enough vehicle or trailer is provided, we guarantee to get the furniture in your vehicle in it’s original condition.  Unfortunately, when we are not delivering the product, we cannot assure you it will make it to your home safely.  We have heard many sad stories over the years of furniture that was not tied down because the customer thought it would be ok without securing it properly. As much as we love furniture at Chapin Furniture, it breaks our hearts to hear stories like these. 

For these reasons, and to ensure your purchase makes it home safely, please bring something to cover your furniture in case of inclement weather, and make certain to bring tie down straps and check to see your furniture is secure prior to leaving the store. We are glad to help you with this process, but it is always the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the items are secure enough to make it home prior to leaving our facility. 

When picking up, it is best to call ahead and let us know you are coming so that we can have your items ready for pickup and so we may service you as quickly as possible. CHAPIN FURNITURE EXPRESS SHIPPING: For shipping on smaller items, your shipment will come to you via FedEx or UPS. In-stock items usually ship within 2 business days of purchase (excluding Sat & Sun), and usually arrive at their destination within 5-7 business days. Backordered items take approximately 3-5 weeks to deliver. If you are in a rush to get an item, you may wish to call us at 803-932-4052 before purchasing, and to ensure item availability and delivery by your desired time of need.

ONLINE PURCHASES 30-DAY RETURN POLICY: Chapin Furniture allows the return of goods purchased through its webstore within 30 days of receipt of goods under the following circumstances: 1. Customer must pay for return shipping and must insure the full amount of the shipment with the carrier. Customer will also be responsible for the original shipping charges. 2. Items must be returned in original packaging and goods must be received in original condition. 3. Customer must contact the store at 803-932-4052 prior to returning goods to initiate the return. IMPORTANT NOTE: As stated above, customer assumes responsibility for paying shipping charges both ways on any returned items.

REFUSAL OF FREIGHT OR CANCELLATION OF AN ORDER: On web orders, once an order has left our location or has been shipped by one of our manufacturers for white glove delivery and the delivery process has begun, the customer will be responsible for all shipping charges incurred on the order, even if the order is cancelled.  Shipping charges include the original agreed shipping amount and any additional shipping charges incurred to stop items in transit and have them returned to Chapin Furniture. The customer will be issued a refund on the balance of the items purchased, less all shipping charges. If the order has not yet been shipped, the customer will receive a complete refund on the purchase, including any shipping charges.

RETURN OF PURCHASES MADE AT OUR PHYSICAL LOCATION: Because furniture, once in a home, begins to lose its value and is considered used, we do not accept returns on furniture that has been successfully picked up by a customer and taken home, or furniture delivered and setup in the home.  Should issues arise with your home furnishings, we are always eager to help resolve those issues per the manufacturer’s warranty, and will service each customer according to the warranty provisions of that manufacturer. 

Special Orders and Non-stocked Items:

Special orders are special because they allow a customer to specify the look of their home furnishings by providing the manufacturer with specific building instructions. Examples of this are ordering a piece of upholstered furniture in a requested fabric, or specifying a finish on a piece of wood furniture.  Once a special order item has been put into production (this happens shortly after the sale), and the first swatch of fabric has been cut, or the first cut has been made to the wood on the production line, the manufacturer will not allow us to cancel the order.  For this reason, we do not allow cancellations or refunds on special orders.

On items that Chapin Furniture does not keep have or keep in stock, we are glad to order these items for our customers, but once the manufacturer ships the item, they will not allow us to return it.  Upon shipping from the manufacturer, these non-stocked orders are also not subject to cancellation or refund.
